Private Lessons

In addition to PFX's classes, we have two additional ways for you to improve your dancing. Brenda is teaching a special intensive class and private lessons will be available from most of the instructors.

Brenda CK's Specialty Class

What is this?

Have you ever taken a private lesson and learned a lot from it? Or even just watched a private lesson, worked on the things you saw them talking about, and learned a lot from it? Did you learn details about your dancing in one hour that took months to learn in group classes? This class gives you the chance to experience some of the details that you can learn from either watching or taking a private lesson and applying it to your dancing.

Why Brenda?

Brenda is one of the best private lesson instructor's I have ever seen (Andrew speaking). She can quickly and easily pick out exactly what needs to be changed in someone's dancing and explains it very clearly so you can immediately start working on it. This class was specifically designed for Brenda as we wanted to highlight this aspect of her teaching and make sure you could get to experience a private lesson with her.

How will this happen? What is the structure?

Brenda will be dancing with and giving detailed intermediate to advanced level comments to one lead & one follow while you watch. Then she will take a short break to give you a chance to ask questions & apply these details to your own dancing. Do this five times and finish off with an "A-ha!" discussion, to fill you with details that make a difference.

Why would this help me?

The details of the dance are what improves most higher level dancers. These details can be hard to understand unless they are broken down in to specific elements and you get to see the difference one element can make in someone's dancing. In this class, you will get to see the difference that subtle elements can make and you will immediately get to work on how to implement them into your dancing.

What else?

Beginners will get to put intermediate & advanced details into their dancing. Intermediate Advanced dancers will get to learn subtle details that make a difference. Teachers will learn more things that can make a difference in someone's dancing in less than 10 minutes.

How do I sign up?

Registration will open shortly for PFX workshop attendees and will open up to other dancers after Dec 11th, if space is still available (5 lead spots, 5 follow spots, & 20 watching spots).

Other Private Lesson Teachers

Many of the other teachers at PFX are also AMAZING private lesson instructors but we don't have time to do a special class for everyone. Instead, many of the teachers will be available for short 20 minute private lessons throughout the breaks during the day. More information about this soon.
